CATE is a grant management unit of the College of Education at the University of Oregon, dedicated to investigating, promoting and sharing information about the use of advanced technology in education. CATE is committed to transforming teaching and learning through the use of computing and communication technologies.
In January, 2011, Dr. Yong Zhao became the new director of CATE, replacing retired director, Dr. Lynne Anderson-Inman. Dr. Anderson-Inman continues in the role of director of the Center for Electronic Studying (CES), the research and outreach unit of CATE.
